Sources Sought
This is a Sources Sought notice for school bus drivers.
This notice DOES NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. This Sources Sought is being utilized to determine the availability of sources only. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This notice does not obligate the Government in any manner. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought notice is strictly voluntary. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization¿s qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received nor provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
Background
St. Stephens Indian School (SSIS) is a K-12 campus servicing the educational needs of the Wind River Indian Reservation and surrounding communities. SSIS is a day-school located 5 miles south of Riverton, in Saint Stephens, Wyoming. The school serves approximately 250 Native American students. SSIS is located at 128 Mission Road, St. Stephens, Wyoming. There are two schools, (Building 99 and Building 102) on the premises, an elementary and high school. The SSIS is operated by the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).
Objectives
- Locate companies capable of providing four (4) CDL certified school bus drivers who will drive St. Stephens school buses. (Large business or Small Business)
- Locate companies in the following small business categories:
o Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise
o Indian Economic Enterprise
o Total Small Business
General Duties:
- Morning student pick-up and afterschool student drop-off
- Athletic events and field trips
- Late drop-off for extra-curricular activities (school to home)
- Staff transport upon request
- Need-by-date: August 2023 for 2023-2024 school year
- All drivers will be required to complete and pass a national fingerprint and criminal background investigation prior to school starting.
- All drivers shall be United States citizen.
Instructions:
Responses shall be received no later than Wednesday May 26, 2023, by 2:00pm Mountain Time.
The response shall include the following information:
- Legal business name with company SAM registration UEI & Cage Code numbers.
- Direct contact information, telephone, and email.
- Business Size Standard, large or small business, to include specific small business category
(i.e., total small business, ISBEE, 8(a), WOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone)
- Capability Statement: Detailed capability statement addressing the company¿s qualifications and ability to provide the requirements listed herein, with appropriate and specific documentation supporting claims of recent organizational and staff capability to support this requirement. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements
