OVERVIEW The Vendor(s) shall provide all equipment, materials and labor to supplement the State of Delaware’s need for Animal Transport Vehicle Inserts as described herein. The contract will require the Vendor(s) to cooperate with the ordering agency to insure the State receives the most current state-of-the-art material and/or services. B. BACKGROUND The Division of Public Health’s Office of Animal Welfare (OAW), is responsible for enforcing animal control and licensing, dangerous dog, rabies control, and animal cruelty laws. In doing so, officers must pick up and transport dogs to safe shelter or veterinary clinics and therefore, require equipment, inserted into vehicles that will allow for the safe and humane transport of dogs. C. STATEMENT OF NEEDS The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify a vendor to custom build and install animal transport inserts into 19 animal control vehicles. Animal Welfare Officers require this equipment to safely and humanely transport small-to-large dogs, in separate compartments, 2-3 at a time per vehicle.
