This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number 140L2223Q0006 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) with an open date of May 4, 2023, and close date of June 5, 2023. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2023-02. This is a total small business set aside under NAICS 115310 and a size standard of $11.5.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Farmington District Office has a requirement in soliciting quotations on a competitive basis from qualified vendors to enter a firm fixed price contract for the Rosa Wildlife and Rangeland Improvement Thinning Project.
Project Name: ROSA WILDLIFE AND RANGELAND IMPROVEMENT THINNING PROJECT
Objective: Clearing and thinning of pinyon-juniper forest shall be conducted in patches, to preserve intact forests and protect obligate wildlife species. In proximity to roads and other developments, forested buffers (screens) shall be retained to reduce visual exposure to wildlife.
Project Location: The project lies east of Navajo Lake, south of the Colorado border and west of the Jicarilla Ranger District (Forest Service) lands. All project boundaries reside within BLM lands.
Legal Location: Township 32 N, Range 6 W, Section 12, 13, 24, 34; Township 32 N, Range 5 W, Section 7, 8, 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33; Township 31 N, Range 5W, Section 8, 9, 17, 18, 20, 21; Township 31N, Range 6W, Section 11, 12, 14, 15.
Project Size: The project shall consist of three options with different acreages to quote on. Vendors may provide a quote on all or a single option. The BLM shall choose one quote that is most advantageous to the agency and maximizes the full extent of the requirement as outlined per Section C, Project Size in the Statement of Work (SOW). Vendors are encouraged to offer up their best overall pricing.
