This is a sources sought notice, NOT an RFQ.
The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery Maine intends to establish an RFQ, persuant to FAR 52.232-18, for replacement cribmaster tool boxes. It is their stance, that the procurement is brand name mandatory to Cribmaster due to the following:
"The specific parameters of the hardware dimensions and accessibility are to replace the existing 10yr past end of life devices in place. The enterprise software and existing firmware support infrastructure remain intact and currently updated without plans for replacement as they interface with our current maintenance systems"
To the best of the Governments knolwedge, there are no known sources capable of providing a product manufacturered other than Cribmaster, that can coordinae seamlessly with the existing software and firmware.
