Description of Work: Work for the Ft. Bayard FEMA Trailer Roof shall include demolition and disposal of
existing shingle roof. Demolition may include decking which has been damaged for replacement. Any damaged
decking shall be brought to the attention of the COR and additional repairs may be needed (change order may
be required for substantial damage). Contractor shall also inspect trusses and beams upon removal of
decking and notify COR if there is any damage to these members. Once sub-roofing is in acceptable shape,
contractor shall replace with new high quality shingle roofing which shall include a 30-year minimum.

Work shall also include provisions for all penetrations and all other trim as required for a complete roof
replacement. Contractor shall replace existing fascia with new metal fascia. Approximate roof dimensions of
roof is 900 SF (to be verified by contractor).

Basis for Award: The Government Anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price Contract using RFQ Best Value-Technically Acceptable: Award will be made to the offer that meets or exceeds the requirements contained herein, at the price that is most advantageous to the government will be determined to be the best value. Price reasonableness will be determined by using competitive solicitation process.
