Sources Sought
This is a Sources Sought notice for food delivery service.
This notice DOES NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote or invitation for bid. This Sources Sought is being utilized to determine the availability of qualified sources.
Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This notice does not obligate the Government in any manner. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought notice is strictly voluntary. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization¿s qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received nor provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
Responses shall be received no later than Wednesday April 5, 2023 by 10:00am Mountain Time.
Background
The BIE Havasupai Elementary School in Supai Arizona routinely procures food products for the school meal program. The school typically uses the established helicopter contract for the transport of food. Helicopter availability varies depending on the weather and other factors. Due to gaps in transport coverage the school has a need for food transport using pack horses/ mules.
Supai is in a remote community within the Grand Canyon which can only be accessed by helicopter, on foot, or by mule. It is about 8 miles from the nearest road.
Objectives
-Establish a contract for food delivery using pack horses / mules.
-Utilize a qualified, trained, and capable wrangler who possesses the necessary equipment and resources to perform delivery as needed, on a weekly basis.
-Locate a contractor capable of providing reliable service from date of award through 06/30/2023 and during the 2023-2024 school year (potentially).
-Provide food transport from the Supai Tribal Warehouse to Hilltop, AZ on a weekly basis.
