Specifications include, but are not limited to:To provide ND State Surplus Property (NDSSP) with what would be referred to as normal janitorial duties. CONDITIONS All janitorial services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) is to be performed weekly on a specific and consistent day of the week to be agreed upon by the Contractor and State. Services are to be performed between the hours of 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM (CT.) Prior to leaving the premises, Contractor will assure that doors and windows in and connected to the office area are locked and all HVAC equipment is operational as directed. In the event any doors or windows are found unsecured or any environmental, structural, security or equipment abnormalities exist; the Agency Representative or designee shall be notified as soon as possible. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment such as mops, buckets, vacuum cleaners, floor buffer, tools, waxes, cleaners, disinfectants, rust/stain removers and any other materials necessary to perform Services. State will provide all paper products such as paper towels for bathrooms, kitchen roll towels, toilet tissue, along with disinfectant hand soap and garbage can liners. Paper towels and kitchen roll towels are for agency use only and shall not be used for contractual cleaning purposes. Contractor will notify the Agency Representative if supplies are low or out. The Contractor will be provided sufficient keys for their staff to gain admittance to the building. Contractor’s employees are allowed in the building for the expressed purpose of conducting the work required in the fulfilling the contract agreement and will not admit non-contract people in to the building. Contractor’s employees will be required to wear company identification badges while on the property. If for whatever reason the State determines individuals performing the Services provided by the contractor should no longer be admitted to the facility, the State may require without question that the Contractor immediately replace that employee. CRITERIA The services listed below will be performed, at a minimum, with the frequency listed. Empty all indoor waste receptacles and remove to designated area (dumpster) for disposal. Clean all rest rooms with a commercial cleaner/disinfectant/stain remover. Restroom cleaning shall include: floors, bathroom door and ceiling vents, sinks, basins, urinals (including top, sides, bottom under rims and overflow outlet,) faucets, drains, dispensers, mirrors, plumbing fixtures, partitions and doors, along with wall tiles around fixtures and any other items as necessary. All surfaces should be maintained stain free from any rust or other mineral deposits. The water ran through the toilets and sinks at NDSSP has a high iron concentration. Therefore, the vendor should be prepared with the proper cleaning agents to keep the toilets and sinks free of rust or other mineral deposits.
