Specifications include, but are not limited to: he Water Main Replacement – 2016 project consists of the installation of new 6-inch and 8-inch ductile iron water main and appurtenances to replace existing 4-inch, 6-inch and 8-inch water main of various material, located both within, and outside, the corporate limits of the City of Newark, Delaware. The project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major work items, which are described in greater detail in the attached Project Drawings: A. Installation of 6-inch cement lined Class 52 ductile iron pipe and necessary bends and fittings under unpaved areas, paved areas and sidewalks. B. Installation of 8-inch cement lined Class 52 ductile iron pipe and necessary bends and fittings under unpaved areas, paved areas and sidewalks. C. Installation of 6-inch and 8-inch gate valves under unpaved, paved areas and sidewalks.
