DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED WORK: The General Services Administration (GSA) Greater Southwest Region announces an opportunity for Construction Services that are capable of performing an elevator modernization involving two elevators at the Federal Building/ US Courthouse in Albuquerque, NM. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to award a contract.
The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment and daily supervision to modernize two (2) existing gearless traction passenger elevators. Provide new regenerative drive systems, solid state microprocessor controls, cab, doors, and all associated work to provide two completely new passenger elevators. All work shall meet or exceed the latest ASME-A17.1-2019 Elevator Code and Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards.

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN. OFFERORS FROM ALL RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE FIRMS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
TENTATIVE DATES: Proposals will be due on or about April 14, 2023. Award is anticipated to be on or about 7/29/2023. The period of performance is 550 calendar days after the notice to proceed.
PROCEDURES FOR AWARD: The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer confirms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, technical factors and cost or price considered. For this solicitation, all evaluation factors other than cost or price are significantly more important than cost or price. Written or oral discussions will be conducted with firms in the competitive range, if necessary. In addition to Total Evaluated Price, the following non-price factors shall be used to evaluate offerors: (1) Technical Approach, (2) Past Experience on Relevant Projects, (3) Schedule, (4) Past Performance, (5) Preventive Maintenance Approach. A score of “unacceptable” in the technical approach factor will result in the proposal being removed from further scoring and consideration for award.
PLAN AVAILABILITY: The solicitation will be available for electronic download at no charge from SAM.gov.
AMENDMENTS TO THE SOLICITATION: It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor SAM.gov for the release of any amendments to the solicitation.
BONDING: A bid guarantee (bid bond) is required. Performance and payment bonds are required after award.
SECURITY: Before employees are allowed to work under the anticipated contract, all personnel are required to pass a security check. Specific security requirements will be contained in the solicitation.
ELIGIBLE OFFERORS: All responsible firms may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
