Sole Source Items for the JBE082 Turnagain Dormitory Renovation

SOURCES SOUGHT:   THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN AN FY23 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT – JBE082, Turnagain Dormitory Renovation, JBER, ALASKA - AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of a larger construction contract to be executed on JBER, Alaska.  A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.”.

Items: 

1. Monaco Fire Alarm System:  Needed to communicate with the existing Monaco Fire Alarm Station located in the main fire station and provide an addressable system.
2. Best Brand Locks:  Needed for the installation’s master keying system for office locks, sleeping rooms, storage rooms, and mechanical/electrical rooms.  All lock cores and keyless entry system must be compatible.
3. Meridian EMCS System:  Needed for automated control of building systems and energy consumption and tracking thru existing EMCS station using established control protocols.
4. Federal Signal Mass Notification System:  Needed to provide the station with the ability to send emergency communications thru existing Federal wireless communication platform to all areas with specific instructions for personnel to follow.

THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.  No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of an FY23 solicitation for the renovation of a Military Construction (MILCON) facility on JBER, Alaska. 

Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice.  Responses must include the following information:

1. Identification of the manufacturer’s name, address, and country of product manufacture.
2. Fully detailed specification sheets.
3. Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
