MOVING ARCHEOLOGICAL COLLECTIONS TO SAJU
The purpose of this amendment is to provide a second set of questions and answers for this requirement and extend the response time to 3/10/2023.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAC 2005-87 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The resultant purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5. This is a total small business set aside in accordance with FAR 19-502-2. The principle NAICS is 484210 and size standard is $30M. The National Park Service, East Contracting Office has a requirement NPS to:
1. Safely move 81 boxes of archeological material from the Southeast Regional Office, located in Atlanta, Georgia, to San Juan National Historic Site, located in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
2. The archeological materials are packed in 80 cardboard boxes that measure 21 in. long x 12 in. wide x 9 in. tall. Please see Attachment 1 for photographs of boxes intheir current storage state.
3. Boxes weigh between 10 and 40 lbs., most are in the 20-30 lbs. range.
4. The recommendation is for a team of five (5) movers for maximum efficiency.
5. Consider all options for securing the boxes, including that the boxes of materials could be palletized and shrink wrapped to facilitate safe transport. No more than threeboxes high to prevent crushing.
6. Unload archeological materials into the San Juan National Historic Site's collections storage facility, located in San Cristobal, into the storage locations identified by thepark/museum personnel
The contractor must be experienced with moving archeology collections. Please see SOW for details.

The contractor shall work with the park contacts to establish the appropriate conveyance to move the archives. The solicitation number assigned to this requirement is 140P5123Q0010. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).
The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract to the firm that provides the best value without
discussions in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the Agency. Companies must have valid UEI number and be registered with System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). SAM.gov offers free services. An offeror must ensure that they are self-certified under NAICS Code 484210 in the Representations and Certifications portion of SAM.gov.
