STATEMENT OF WORK
TIGER BUTTE (LMR) TOWER LEASE
MAFB, MT

Introduction:
341 Missile Wing Commander request a new Tower Lease to enhance Land Mobile Radio (LMR) coverage, expand critical radio communication coverage and create communication redundancy within the vast Malmstrom AFB’s Missile Complex in supporting the nuclear mission.
Period of Performance:
The period of performance is to be 12 consecutive months (1 year) plus 9 option years.
Site Requirements:
- Advertise request to lease an existing communication tower, adjacent parcel of land and space within that tower for the installation of communication equipment. Tower must be located within the Tiger Butte Mountain communication area located approximately 47°9’34.43” N 111° 0’41.05” W.
- The Air Force request tower with a minimum height of 150 feet, parcel of land consisting of 20 feet by 30-foot area for the placement of a support building and security fencing to secure Air Force assets.
- Proposed tower site must have primary commercial power available to the site that the Air Force will be authorized to utilize.
- To prevent possible line of site complications, the Air Force request highest point of the tower consisting of an area 65 linear feet to accommodate communication equipment.
- The Air Force would be authorized to install and maintain two twenty-foot ANT150F6 Fiberglass Collinear Antennas, two six-foot microwave dish antennas, a 200 square foot support building, 4K generator and 500-gallon propane tank.
