Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The District’s Service Centers perform most repairs to district facilities, including HVAC systems, but at times must rely on contracted services. For the work described in this RFP, the District is seeking experienced and reputable contractors with a high degree of attention to detail and established quality assurance processes and procedures, to provide Geothermal Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Maintenance and Repair services. At the time of this RFP, the department anticipates the need to contract for unplanned maintenance only which may include repair, service, and or corrective actions. Additional HVAC services may be added during any period of performance if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so. 2. The contractor’s work shall be performed in accordance with best practices by a licensed qualified HVAC contractor / technician. All contractor(s) / technician(s) performing HVAC work for the District must be properly licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor / Technician and all work must conform to current codes and practices. 3. The contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and supplies as necessary to repair or assist in repairing the District’s geothermal HVAC systems to include piping, pumps and controls on an “as-needed” basis at District location(s) identified at time of service call. Required services will include flushing and purging of waterside systems as needed.
