The contractor shall remove steam propeller-type unit heaters and replace them with indirect gas fired propeller heaters in the machine shop building at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Marietta Repair Station located at 100 Post Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750. The replacement system shall be in accordance with these specifications, referenced drawings, industry standards and all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
The contractor shall accomplish the following:

- Remove all steam and condensate piping back to the boiler room.
- Remove and dispose of (6) six steam propeller heaters.
- Remove and dispose of (1) one high-capacity gas fired heater at south end of machine shop.
- Install (9) nine new, gas fired propeller unit heaters, 100,000 Btu/hr capacity each.
- Install new schedule 40 gas piping system from boiler room to each heater. A manual gas stop, sediment trap and union will be provided at each heater. All new gas piping to be painted safety yellow.
- Reconnect new heaters to existing power supply wiring.
- Install power supply wiring to (2) two additional heater locations that currently do not have a heater.
- Install central relay panel and wiring to control all heaters from a single thermostat.
- Install 6" common vent from each pair of heaters through west sidewall of machine shop building.
- Reconnect south heater to existing type-B vent piping.
- Replace (4) four existing propeller-type ceiling fans with new 84", 8 blade fans.
- Install electrical interlock wiring to start the ceiling fans when gas fired heaters are heating.
- Remove boiler and all boiler piping in boiler room IS NOT included in this proposal.
