NUWCDIVNPT intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order on a sole-source basis to Teledyne D.G. Obrien (TDGO), 162 Corporate Dr., STE 100, Portsmouth, NH 03801 (Cage Code: 17476). The uniquely designed cable TDGO developed is source controlled and TDGO is the approved source of supply as detailed in the Sole Source Justification attached. The circumstances of the contract action deem only one source available. The pre-solicitation has been waived per FAR 5.202(a)(13).
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement to purchase OA-9070E/BBQ Thin Line Towed Array Handling System (TLTAHS) Motor Signal Cables in accordance with NAVSEA drawing #s 8740638-1 and 8740639 as shown in the table below.

The delivery date is 40 weeks After Receipt of Order. F.O.B Destination, Newport, RI 02841-1708. This requirement is an unrestricted, sole-source procurement as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs. The NAICS Code is 335931; the size standard is 500 employees.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
