The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado, has a requirement to reduce threat from catastrophic wildfire by reducing fuels available to burn and enhance forest stand health. Stand vigor improvement through promoting ponderosa pine regeneration will help the forest resist potential future stressors such as: drought, disease, insects, and wildfire. As well as improve big game and turkey habitat. The area is mostly Ponderosa Pine stand with variable density and very little slope across the unit. Good road access to the unit. Nearest town is Dove Creek, Colorado. Details are included in the Statement of Work, maps and Wage Determination attached to this RFQ. Award will be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable basis. See provision 52.212-2 `Evaluation' for details of what must be included with your quote.
No site visit is scheduled but Interested Contractors are encouraged to visit the project area before submittal of final bids. Avenza/pdf maps will be available to support a self-guided show me tour. Interested Contractors with additional questions please Tyler Corbin (970)-799-2957.
