The Oahe Project Corps of Engineers manages 2,250 miles of shoreline on the Missouri River. The Project stretches from Pierre, South Dakota to Bismarck, North Dakota.
Our primary goal is to effectively control noxious weeds/invasive species and unwanted vegetation at the Oahe Project without damaging nearby trees and shrubs and minimizing damage to desirable ground vegetation. Noxious weeds/invasive species targeted for control may include Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense), leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula), saltcedar (Tamarix spp.), Absinth Wormwood (artemisia absinthium) and other species.
