Overview
Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the managing and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory (INL) in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from industry stakeholders regarding a potential multi-year contract for the purchase of uniforms, related branding, and Tailoring Services to support multiple fire stations at the INL facilities.
Scope
The primary objective of the acquisition is to furnish all uniforms, uniform patches, pins, badges, collar insignia, and name bars to members of the INL Fire Department (FD) and the Fire Alarm Emergency Dispatch Center (FAEDC). All INL FD station uniforms shall be made from thermally stable materials that will not contribute to burn injury (i.e., no rapid deterioration, melting, shrinking, or adherence to the skin causing a more severe burn injury).
• The Subcontractor shall provide uniformity and limit the available inventory of products as identified by the potential contract.
• To ensure accuracy of clothing sizes, the Subcontractor shall provide a sizing run of the items included in the potential contract.
• The Subcontractor shall come to Fire Station when requested to take uniform orders, deliver previously ordered items – if necessary, or take sizing measurements - if necessary. The visit to the site shall be coordinated with the FD.
• Order requests are to be identified by the employee’s name, order date, style number, and quantity. A copy of order request is to be provided to the FD for record.
• The subcontractor shall be able to provide all branding (embroidering, silk screening, etc.) and tailoring services in house. Specifications and samples shall be provided to ensure consistency and compliance with requirements.
• The Subcontractor shall provide an invoice for each order that itemizes the uniform clothing when the order is delivered.
Industry Consulting Services- The subcontractor shall be responsible for providing industry best practices in all areas of the potential contract.
Location - The Subcontractor may provide fittings, order requests, and delivery of purchased items to Fire Station #1, Scoville, Idaho if requested. Members of the INL Fire Department or the FAEDC may also stop at the Subcontractor’s business location for fitting purposes.
