The Contractor will replace Control Tower Roof at Carr Creek Lake in Knott County, Kentucky. The
contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and labor to complete installation of a
Fully Adhered Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) minimum 90 mil roofing system onto the existing
metal decking roof with insulation board that will provide a watertight roof membrane, approved by the Government
Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for the Carr Creek Lake Control Tower Roof. All contractors submitting EPDM
roofing systems for approval consideration shall provide product specification from manufacturer and warranty
specifications contained in this scope of work.
The contractor shall remove the existing roof system, insulation, roof protrusion boot/seals, any loose gravel, dirt,
and debris down to metal decking and properly dispose of the material to a site licensed to receive/recycle
construction debris in accordance with Federal, State and Local Regulations. The contractor will completely remove
the furnace vent and sleeve and 4 lightening rod boxes. The contractor will repair the holes in the decking with like
materials.
The contractor will install new insulation at a minimum of 2 inches thick and in accordance with a fully adhered
EPDM roof system manufactures recommendations. The contractor will install a fully adhered EPDM minimum 90
mil roof system according to manufacturer’s recommendations. The contractor will seal remaining roof penetrations
(2 bypass vents, Septic Tank Vent, Generator Exhaust Vent, Roof Access, and Roof Drain) to obtain a watertight
seal in accordance with manufactures recommendations.
