Questions and Answers #1 through #4 provided below and as an attachment. Proposals remain due 2:00 PM ET Tuesday 24 May 2022. Acknowledge receiving below Q&A #1-4 in administrative section of your proposal.
Question #1: What is the size and who is providing the concrete pad for the new chiller?
Answer #1: Contractor shall provide concrete pad for new chiller. Size of pad shall extend approximately four inches beyond its mounted equipment on all sides. See Specification Section 23 64 10 Subparagraph 3.1.8.1 Refrigeration System Equipment (PDF page 366). Government is also advising Contractor of a typographical error in above-mentioned citation in that the 400 psi strength requirement should read 4,000 psi, consistent with concrete pad detail on Drawing Sheet M-501. Also, see General Note #23 on Drawing Sheet M-001.
Question #2: Who will be removing the ceiling grid?
Answer #2: Pursuant to Specification Section 02 41 00, Paragraph 3.1.6 Acoustical Ceiling Tile, “Remove, neatly stack, and reuse acoustic ceiling tiles.” Similarly, Contractor shall remove grid to accommodate the Work and restore acoustical ceiling system to its original or better condition.
