The contractor shall furnish all labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, equipment operators, lifts, and transportation necessary to provide recertification services for the Fall Protection Systems in Hangars 280, 232, 250, 282, 228, 233, and 245 IAW OSHA STD for Personal Fall Arrest System under 29 CFR 1910 and per ANSI Z359.1 1992, section 6.1.1 (fall protection). Recertification
services include, but are not limited to the following:
1.1.1 Testing end anchors for wear and damage.
1.1.2 Testing hardware for looseness, breaks, or damage.
1.1.3 Checking breaks for broken or frayed strands, kinks, crimps, corroded strands.
1.1.4 Checking cable tension, inspect all swaged fittings for slippage
1.1.5 Checking SLRs for damaged housings, frayed or broken strands, damage to snap
hooks or break mechanism, check for proper tension of lifeline.
1.1.6 Checking harnesses for frayed or worn webbing, broken stitches, and damaged
D-rings or buckles.
1.1.7 Checking lanyards for frayed or worn webbing, broken stitches, and damaged
carabiners
1.1.8 Remove all dirt and debris from system.
1.1.9 Weight test system for max specifications
The contractor shall have only competent and qualified personnel perform the work. The contractor shall be certified to inspect fall protection systems in the state of Arkansas. The contractor shall be certified/authorized to certify Uniline Safety Systems, LatchWay and DBI Fall Protection Systems. The contractor shall submit a schedule 7 days in advance for coordinating work. Updated certificates and identi-plates of inspection of fall protection systems shall be submitted upon completion of work.
