The Government is issuing a solicitiation for the Gavins Point/Lewis and Clark Lake Prescribed Burning Services at Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota. This solicitation will close on the 28th of March 2022.
The solicitation is 100% Small Business Set Aside. All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract from any DoD activity. Contractors may access the internet site at https://www.sam.gov/ to register and/or obtain information about the SAM program. Contractors must ensure that the applicable NAICS code is included in their proposal prior to submission of offer.
Project Description:
This is a contract for prescribed burning services of vegetation located on sandbars in Lewis And Clark Lake on the Missouri River. These sandbars have been treated with herbicide, and the burning is required to remove the dead standing vegetation. The prescribed burning will provide two benefits; 1) removal of noxious exotic Phragmites vegetation, and 2) provide improved habitat for the threatened Piping Plover shorebird that nests on or near these islands. The prescribed burning needs to be completed before mid-April when the threatened birds begin to arrive in the area.
NAICS Code:
The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is NAICS 562910 - Remediation Services with a Small Business size standard of $22 Million.
