The government requires a broad range of professional assistance related to inpatient (unit dose
and intravenous admixtures) and outpatient pharmacy services at the VASNHS. The contractor is
to provide two (2) licensed registered pharmacists and two (4) Pharmacy Technician Certification
Board (PTCB) certified pharmacy technicians for a broad range of professional assistance related
to inpatient (unit dose & intravenous admixtures) and outpatient pharmacy services at the
VASNHS. The contract pharmacists and technicians will work in both the outpatient and
inpatient pharmacy settings. Each contract pharmacist and technician must have at least 2 yrs of
experience in hospital (inpatient) pharmacy. The contract pharmacists and technicians may be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with each shift being a minimum of 8-hrs (Sunday through Saturday, 24/7
days a week, including holidays). The contractor may be required to provide up to 64 additional
hours of pharmacist coverage per week and 64 hours of technician coverage to VASNHS
Pharmacy service per week. Shifts are determined by VASNHS Pharmacy leadership.
