This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR Part 37.101, Nonpersonal Services Contract. The Little Shell Service Unit, Great Falls, Montana intends to award a firm fixed price contract in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ)-22-002-TRS for Thermal Printing System and Annual Software Maintenance. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-03.
This solicitation is set aside 100% small business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System code is 541511.
B.1 PRICE SCHEDULE: Only new equipment will be accepted. Items are brand name or equal; a general description of those salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics of the brand name item that an "equal" item must meet to be acceptable for award. All items must be included in quote to be considered for award.

B.2 PERIOD OF PERFORMACE:
Performance of this order shall be for a base year of 12 months with four (4) 12-month options with dates of service to be determined at a later date.
If the Government exercises the options pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (MAR 2000) the period of performance shall be extended in accordance with the following schedule:

B.3 PURPOSE:
The Little Shell Service Unit is implementing multi-functional thermal label printers in effort to consolidate existing wristband/label/card printing needs. The printing system will have the capability to provide thermal labels and patient wrist bands.
B.4 REQUIREMENTS:
The printing system must interface with the Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service, Resource Patient Management System (RPMS), installation services, support services and connectivity between printers and RPMS.
The wristband printers must interface with the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS), configuration, and support services to print patient name, Date of Birth (DOB), Health Record Number, Age, Chart Number, and Gender. The print system must be able to print one and two dimensional barcodes containing all pertinent patient information, but at a minimum the barcode must contain the patients’ health record number. This printing system is for patient and medication safety.
THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET (OMB) MANDATES THAT U.S. FEDERAL AGENCIES USE THE INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 6 (IPV6). IN NOVEMBER 2020, OMB ISSUED MEMORANDUM M-21-07 "COMPLETING THE TRANSITION TO IPV6", WHICH OUTLINES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S STRATEGIC INTENT "TO DELIVER ITS INFORMATION SERVICES, OPERATE ITS NETWORKS, AND ACCESS THE SERVICES OF OTHERS USING ONLY IPV6". THE IHS REQUIRES ALL NEW IT SYSTEMS (HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE) TO OPERATE IN A PURE IPV6 NETWORK ENVIRONMENT. THIS INCLUDES ON-PREMISES SERVICES OR THIRD-PARTY HOSTED SERVICES THAT REQUIRE NETWORK INTEGRATION INTO THE IHS NETWORK. THE OFFEROR'S SOLUTION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE IPV6 STANDARDS PROFILE AS DEFINED BY THE NIST USGV6 PROGRAM: HTTPS://WWW.NIST.GOV/PROGRAMS-PROJECTS/USGV6-PROGRAM.
B.5 MAINTENANCE:
The contractor shall provide service with downtime no longer than 2 hours. For repairs that cannot be fixed remotely, an on-site tech will scheduled to be on-location in no less than 48 hours.
