Statement of Work for Repairing the Government Owned 2000 Freightliner Water Truck
Background:
ARS has a need for several mechanical repairs to be completed on this Government owned Freightliner Water Truck. The Freightliner Water Truck is a main piece of equipment that is used for hauling water to the Research Animals throughout the year, in all types of terrain, (Sage Brush/Lava Rock Pastures, Feedlot Pens, Farmland, Pivot Circles) and road conditions, (Interstate Highways, Gravel and Two-Track Dirt/Lava Desert Roads, Feedlot Alleyways). This water truck is also used as a water tender truck during Research Plot Burning and suppression of wildland fires, protecting ARS owned research lands, structural property, and research animals.
