Specifications include, but are not limited to: Supply herbicide application vehicles, ATV’s and UTV’s, and backpack sprayers, with necessary attachments. Contracted company to supply herbicide, herbicide to be applied to noxious weeds and map areas treated for noxious weed infestations. Equipment will be designed to minimize any drift of applied herbicide. Contractor will inspect equipment at a minimum of once a day, prior to commencing operations, for any leaks or potential issues. Mapping software must provide data to the Department of treated areas, and noxious weed species treated. Spraying shall be performed by a licensed commercial applicator/operator, or their employee, who shall be on site at all times during application. All equipment must be calibrated prior to application to ensure accurate rate of coverage. Off target and sensitive plant species will be avoided. Weather conditions will be monitored before and during all spray operations. Spraying will not be allowed when any of the following conditions occur: Temperature >85°, Wind Speed >10 mph, snow on ground, and/or rain expected within label restrictions. Herbicide will be applied to target noxious weeds at label recommended growth stage.
