Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is examining alternative fuel solutions for equipment within our fleet. Fleet equipmentincludes road maintenance equipment like a street sweeper and paver, light-duty vehicles such as a passenger sedan, SUV or F-150,medium-duty vehicles such as an F-250-F550, and heavy-duty equipment such as a tandem-axle dump trucks and tow-plow truck andtrailer. The fluctuating cost of oil and gasoline, along with current market trends away from gasoline-fueled equipment and demand from thepublic for carbon emission reductions, has led INDOT to begin developing strategies to purchase, maintain and operate fleet equipmentwith alternative fuels. The selected consultant will provide guidance and expertise to INDOT in developing a strategic plan for purchasingand maintaining alternative fuel equipment. The consulted work would include, but is not limited to:1.A full fleet analysis that reviews our full inventory of fleet equipment, fuel and vehicle usage, replacement schedule and budget as wellas applications we use to monitor said equipment.2.A review of alternative fuel options and potential cost savings3.A final report that includes overall recommendations from the consultant and additional options that would provide, in the view of theconsultant, a positive change for INDOT as it pertains to alternative fuels
