Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Provide a minimum of five facilitated discussions with current VAC members to develop the Charter. The facilitated discussions may be held virtually, via teleconference, or as a combination of virtual and in-person. 2) Gather input from other constituency groups for Charter elements. Constituency groups may include, but are not limited to: a) Self-advocates and family members, b) Advocacy organizations, c) Case Management Entities, d) Provider groups, and e) Other Community Partners. 3) Ensure that input is gathered from diverse perspectives, including representation of community members who have diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, geographic, and cultural identities. Proposer may utilize a variety of accessible methods to gather input, including surveys and focus groups. 4) Develop the Charter in consideration of the input received from members and constituents using principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and must address at a minimum: a) Committee purpose and the scope ofthe VAC’s work, b) Committee authority and decision making, c) Committee guiding principles, d) Committee Community Partners and constituencies, e) Membership, including diverse representation, service and membership terms, rules for member recruitment and selection, and membership termination, f) Roles and responsibilities of members.
