Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to enter into a contract(s) to provide Food Service Industrial Paper Products for the State of Utah. Given the cooperative nature of this RFP, it is expected that offerors shall propose a wide array of equipment, products, and/or services at lower prices and with better value than what they would ordinarily offer to the public or to a single government entity. Included for this contract: Products that include, but not limited to restaurant/cafe supplies like plastic food containers, disposable food plates, hot & cold cups & lids, plastic cutlery kits, food trays, hot liners, bags, paper towels & napkins, paper filters, foil, gloves, caps, aprons, and more. The Vendor shall coordinate with the appropriate facility kitchen supervisor to determine a regular delivery time and day. If the Vendor is unable to make a delivery at the agreed upon day and time, the Vendor shall notify the Kitchen Supervisor or designated kitchen staff member. Inspection – Within delivery of the product the item shall be inspected by the end user, and if found to be defective or it fails in any way to meet the specifications or approval of the user, the items may be rejected and/or returned. Shortages must be reported to the vendor and replaced by the vendor. There will be no return fees for inaccuracies or other errors on the part of the Vendor. Poor quality and/or incorrect product is to be reported to the Vendor within 2 business days of delivery. The cost to replace products damaged during transportation and delivery will be the responsibility of the Vendor. It shall be the Vendor’s responsibility to gain proper clearance for drivers prior to any deliveries to The Department of Corrections, if necessary.
