Specifications include, but are not limited to: Northern Kentucky University is seeking a Contractor to provide all materials, labor, tools, supervision, and equipment required to demolish and install a new fly system in the Corbett Theater and store soft goods during the duration of the Fine Arts Floor Heaving Renovation. *Construction Start: The majority of the work space is currently vacant. It is the university’s expectation the awarded bidder will mobilize at time of contract award, by the end of June 2023. The Fine Arts Floor Heaving Renovation scope of work consists of renovation and remediation work to the 160,000 square foot, four story Fine Arts Center constructed in 1977. The renovation work focuses on the modernization of the HVAC system and the Fire Alarm system throughout the building. The remediation work focuses on addressing the floor heaving in the first-floor slab on grade due to the presence of expansive shale. Reconstruction of spaces is necessary to accommodate the remediation work as well as additional programmatic needs of the building. A. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, service and perform all operations required to complete the installation of all Work of this section and related Work as indicated on the drawings and specified herein. B. All requirements of the General Conditions. C. Field verification of dimensions, conditions and obstructions at the job site. D. Submission of shop drawings signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Kentucky. E. Demolition and removal of discarded equipment from site as defined by the drawings. F. Disconnect and uncoil existing type SO multicable at existing cyclorama electric raceway. Store SO multicable on grid for reuse. Demolition and removal from site of existing wood cable reel at the grid iron. Demolition of double purchase cradle compensation chain system. G. Removal and turn over to owner existing curtain tracks located on lineset #2. H. Removal, storage and reinstallation of existing soft goods and drapery. Materials to be stored “offsite” in a clean, dry facility and reinstalled when the stage is completed dry and dust free. a.Locations in include all Corbet stage soft goods and drapery in congruence with fly system. b.Room 116 –Dance Studio.
