Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Using a crane CONTRACTOR and riggers, remove the fabricated steel dome from the tank using a minimum of a 120-ton crane for placement onto scaffolding/cribbing erected adjacent to the digester tank. This shall require a minimum of six scaffolding towers with rated cribbing, to properly support the dome and allow equipment access underneath to remove and later reinstall the concrete ballast blocks. A scaffolding and cribbing plan with an ENGINEER’S wet stamped drawing will be required (prior to removing the secondary digester dome) for the proper placement and rating of the scaffolding and cribbing to be used to support the size, weight, shape and, weather conditions to include but not limited to, high winds or snow that could affect the stabilization of the secondary digester dome sitting on the scaffolding. 2. The cribbing will be located to allow later installation of the ten (10) UHMW Corbel Support Blocks. 3. Identification and removal performed by the CONTRACTOR of the concrete ballast blocks shall be recorded to ensure the concrete ballast blocks are reinstalled in the same location. Once the ballast blocks have been removed, additional wash down and clean-up may be required to remove debris from the dome which was under and behind the ballast blocks.
