Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Project consists of monumental letters spelling out M I Z and a retaining wall to give an accessible paving area on a sloped site next to Reynolds Alumni Center. 2) Demolition shall consist of protection of select existing vegetation; removal of sections of concrete sidewalk; clearing and grubbing; removal and disposal of unsuitable soil materials; disconnecting, capping and removal of site irrigation system; and installation of temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures. 3) Site work shall consist of fabrication and installation of monumental letters; site grading; installation of masonry finishes and related flashing on retaining wall; replacing removed concrete sidewalks; new stamped concrete at letter area; various signage; irrigation system; and new storm drain system at letter paving connected to existing system. 4) Structural work shall consist of foundation for letters; site retaining wall; and structural fill as required. 5) Electrical work shall consist of in ground lighting for letters connected to adjacent existing site light circuiting.
