Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide and maintain temporary fences, barriers, lights, guardrails, and barricades as necessary to secure the site and protect persons and property. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing all debris and packing materials from the job site as needed to complete project. Contractor shall exercise care so as not to damage existing grass, trees, or other property during the construction. The contractor shall repair or replace any damaged grass, trees, or material, should damage occur during construction. The contractor shall inspect conditions of the site and report any concerns or discrepancies that would affect the proposed layout and report to Town Staff. A Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) must inspect the playground at end of project and provide a copy of successful inspection. Conform strictly to manufacturer’s instructions on installation of play equipment. Use only experienced personnel trained in play equipment installation. Provide and install all concrete footings for play equipment based on manufacturer’s instructions. Equipment/tools/trash must be left in a safe manor daily so that use of the adjacent fields is not affected. Submit letterhead proof of installation of equipment based on manufacturer’s recommendations. The contractor is required to review the playground installation for accuracy and ensure compliance with all ADA Accessibility standards and ASTM Standards. Add-Alternate # 1- Solid Surface Pathway and Certified Wood Fiber Surface Install Poured in place ADA compliant pathways to each piece of playground equipment per ASTM and CPSP standards. Cover remaining surface of playground with IPEMA Certified wood fiber at 12” depth compacted following ASTM and CPSP standards. Add-Alternate # 2- Poured in Place Playground Surface Properly grade and prepare the subbase for the Poured in Place based on the manufacturer’s instructions. Color is to be approved by the Town prior to installation. Install Poured in Place surface across entirety of playground based on manufacturer’s instructions. Add-Alternate # 3- ADA Pathway to Playground Properly grade, prepare, and construct an ADA pathway from the parking lot to the playground to meet all ADA accessibility requirements.
