Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.1. The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to perform contract work which consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform landscaping and ground maintenance. The following specifications describe the work to be completed, what is required of the successful vendor, and any other information needed for a vendor to submit a responsible bid. 1.1.2. Contractor must have knowledge of plant species of horticultural industry standards 1.1.3. Only vendors with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years past experience performing the scope of work as specified herein shall be considered for this project. All vendors who submit bids shall include documentation indicating past experience and references to receive full consideration for contract award. 1.1.4. Contractor must have capacity to work at multiple sites at same time. 1.1.5. Contractor must meet background check requirements to work in DPR locations. 1.1.6. All DPR locations are estimates based on weather and ground conditions. Contractor(s) shall coordinate with DPR designated contact regarding start of the schedule and implementation of any services. Any schedule may be modified by DPR at any time indicative of weather conditions, growth patterns and to reflect the needs of DPR. 1.1.7. The DPR representative retains the right to adjust the scope of work at each site location. The Contractor shall provide a written proposal for any cost adjustment and forward to the DPR representative prior to performing any additional work over and above the specifications listed in this document. 1.1.8. The Contractor will perform the work in accordance with the schedule provided or the instructions received from the DPR representative. Generally, the work may be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. or sunset whichever comes first and on any day or days of the week in accordance with the City’s noise ordinance. If special circumstances require different hours the Contractor shall seek approval for such a change from the DPR. All invoices shall be submitted to DPR Representative within 10 days of completing work and must include a valid invoice number, the specific type of work for which the invoice is presented, the group or block of sites, and the correct date. 1.1.9. Contractor shall observe all City Knozone Action Days.
