Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Department for Children and Families’ (DCF) mission is to foster the healthy development, safety, well-being, and self-sufficiency of Vermonters. The Department is structured around six Divisions that deliver programs and services to Vermonters; one of those Divisions is the Child Development Division (CDD). CDD works to increase access to high-quality, sustainable services that are developmentally beneficial for children, strengthen families, and meet their needs. Within CDD, Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) offers early intervention, family support, and prevention services to children and their families, including children with medical diagnoses and disabilities. CIS services are part of a coordinated continuum of care across multiple types of providers and settings. The goal of CIS is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant/postpartum individuals, infants, and children through connections with high quality health care and community support services so that progress on family and child safety, family stability, and optimal healthy development is achieved. The State of Vermont contracts directly with local community agencies within each of the eleven (11) teams to maintain regional systems and the provision of CIS. The CIS Bundled Contract requires all new CIS professionals to complete a series of online learning modules. These modules are the only aligned online learning CDD CIS offers all CIS professionals. In addition, all new CIS Early Intervention providers must complete modules specific to their federally mandated services.
