Specifications include, but are not limited to: ALTSD seeks a Contractor to Pilot interactive in-home technology for low-income, homebound seniors. These seniors will be monitored remotely by Contractor. This innovative, pilot program would address the: 1) care shortage, especially in rural and remote areas of New Mexico; 2) need for respite care; and 3) the agency's mission to facilitate "aging in place". The Contractor shall provide the available technology and services which will have capabilities for an estimated ninety (90) New Mexico clients in need of: Medical reminders, programmed to match each client’s care plan and electronically reminds the client to take medications, or of upcoming, recurring appointments. Failure to respond shall trigger a response from an operator from the Contractor who will attempt to contact the client directly or notify a responsible party for a wellness check. The responsible party shall be designated by the caregiver or family member(s). Global Positioning System (GPS) and Cellular Based Location Services (CBS) to locate the user’s current location should an immediate need arise. Rapid response monitoring service with a redundant, U.S.-based facility that provides uninterrupted service. The operators provided must provide stay-on-the-line service during all emergency situations. This monitoring will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, holidays included. Family and caregivers should be able to receive important notifications, via text and/or call. For safety, monitoring, and awareness, device and service shall send an alert to responsible party, when client leaves a home and arrives at a familiar location. App should be available on iOS or Android mobile devices.
