Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver a new, current, tested, and certified commercially produced surface emergency medical care vehicle, referred to as an "Ambulance" or “ambulance”, Type I, Class I Ambulance Package, Ford F-350, with all standard production equipment as advertised; The specifications below cover the general requirements, which include: the type of construction and test to which the ambulance shall conform; and certain finishing details such as equipment and appliances. The minor details of construction and materials, which are not specified, shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to design and construct all features, but subject to final approval of the Officer-in-Charge (OIC). The Contractor shall be able to offer local support services on the island of Oahu to include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Provide warranty services and inspections. 2. Provide repair and mechanical services on Oahu. 3. Provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing. A. Cab/Chassis and Payload 1. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): Minimum 14,000 GVWR. 2. Payload: A minimum of 2,000 lbs. payload allowance shall be provided over and above the curb weight of the vehicle as specified. The payload shall consist of personnel, patients (computed at 175 lbs. per occupant) and miscellaneous support equipment, supplies and devices appropriately distributed within the vehicle. B. Weight Ratings 1. Curb weight shall include: the weight of the complete Ambulance, chassis, cab, and body; including all permanently attached or mounted devices, equipment, oxygen cylinders, basic accessories; full complement of fuel, lubricants and coolants. 2. The ambulance GVWR shall not be in excess of the total vehicle curb weight and payload weight. 3. Manufacturer shall provide a rating label showing the GVWR of the vehicle.
