Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Maine Revenue Services (Department) is seeking proposals to provide temporary staffing services for tax processing as defined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) document. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure and criteria by which the awarded Bidder will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the State of Maine (State) and the awarded Bidder. The Department oversees the administration and collection of all major taxes that provide revenue to support Maine state government. The Department requires temporary staff to process the large volume of returns and correspondence received during peak processing periods. Additionally, temporary staff assists with preparing materials, ensuring quality assurance, performing research for projects, and other office production work. The selected temporary staffing service must have experience filling temporary, high-volume, unexpected, and short-term staffing needs in the Central Maine area in a timely manner and upon short notice. It is not the intent of this solicitation to permanently replace any current state employees or positions.
