Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bangor is requesting technical and fee proposals from qualified Architectural firms or individual Architects to provide design services, construction documents, and construction services for improvements to a property known as the “Central Kitchen - Bangor” located at 50 Cleveland Street, Bangor, Maine. The Central Kitchen – Bangor is an approximately 18,167 square foot former military building. The kitchen area and event space will be operated as a commercial kitchen with related activities. The remainder of the building is intended to be used as business and office space. The successful proposer may be required to coordinate with other consultants contracted by the City. The building, located near the Bangor International Airport, is a ±18,167 gross square foot, single-story structure. The original structure was constructed in 1957, and it has undergone several renovations. The building was most recently occupied by units of the Maine National Guard. Functional areas in the building include a main lobby, administrative offices, supply area with vault, locker and toilet rooms, large event /dining room, kitchen with loading dock, bar area, and miscellaneous mechanical spaces. Floor drains are located in the kitchen and boiler room and are connected to the City of Bangor sanitary sewer system. Water is supplied by the Bangor Water District, and electricity is provided by the regional supplier, Versant Power.
