Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work will consist of providing design services (Final PS&E) for this roadway reconstruction project. The work will consist of providing construction management, testing and a final report for a new landfill module and a perimeter roadway project. CONSULTANT shall take all necessary safety precautions and comply with all applicable provisions of federal, state of Utah and municipal safety laws and building codes to prevent accidents or injury to its employees, agents or subconsultants and to protect other persons on, about or adjacent to the premises where CONSULTANT’s work is being performed from any accidents or injuries caused by CONSULTANT, its agents or subconsultants. Upon selection of the consultant team, the City will enter scope and fee negotiations for Design (as outlined below). • Concept Design o SLC Engineering has survey of the site. o SLC Transportation has provided the concept design. o evaluate existing conditions data that has already been collected by the City; o collect additional existing conditions data (sub-surface utilities, etc.); o engage the public, businesses, and project stakeholders; o collect and synthesize public input, provide feedback on how the public input was used; • Final Design o complete final design PS&E; provide RFI support during bidding and construction; and, provide design support and public information during construction. The City will assign a project manager from the Engineering Division for Design. The Project Management Team will consist of the City’s project manager and the consultant project manager and will meet regularly to discuss project status and challenges. This team shall meet on a regular basis (bi-weekly). The consultant will finalize the project scope, schedule, and budget with the City project manager prior to contracting. This process will include developing an on-going project coordination plan to monitor progress, facilitate meetings, and ensure that the design is completed within an efficient and realistic project schedule.
