Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Westfield HS Redesign/Refresh ($20 million approx.). The district is seeking input from the community about the future of Westfield HS. This input with determine if the funds will be used to redesign Westfield HS in anticipation of a future Bond or refreshing the current campus. 2. Two (2) Elementary Schools Redesign/Refresh ($30 million approx.). The district is seeking input from the community about the future of Reynolds Elementary School and Jenkins Elementary School. This input will determine if the funds will be used to redesign these schools in anticipation of a future Bond or refreshing the current campus. 3. Building Maintenance Projects Across the District ($70 million approx.). Using the district’s facility report conducted by Parsons (a recognized engineering, construction, technical and management services firm), building maintenance needs have been prioritized – the most urgent building needs addressed in the proposed bond package. This includes: • Electrical; • HVAC; • Plumbing; • Interior Construction and Finishes; • Foundation; • Furnishings; • Roofing; • Stairs; • Exterior Enclosures; • Overall Site Improvements 4. District-wide Safety and Security Improvements ($122 million approx.). In line with Spring ISD’s strategic plan, Every Child 2020, the district’s proposed bond program includes plans for additional full-day prekindergarten classroom space at every campus across the district. This includes: • Radio Systems Infrastructure; • District Wide Cameras; • Additional Fencing and Gates; Through this RFQ process, it is the intent of the District to qualify and select a group/pool of architectural firms with whom the District may negotiate a contract for individual projects to achieve the objectives of the bond program as well future, to-be-determined projects.
