Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Site Preparations: 1. The Contractor shall make sure that any shrubs or other obstructions are cleared from the fence path. i. Note that any prominent shrubbery along proposed fence perimeters including felled trees will be removed by the Contractor to a safe distance from the fence line. 2. The Contractor will demolish and dispose of all existing damaged fences: i. All old fence posts must be removed completely. ii. All boards, nails, and debris must be cleaned up. 3. The Contractor shall ensure that any ground that is getting dug into is clear of any utilities, wires, or pipes. B. Fence Installation and Specifications: 1. Repair and replace all fence and all associated hardware to include embedded concrete posts as previously installed in all damaged areas as outlined in the FEMA damage report included as Appendix A 2. All fence components must be installed to industry standards and MSBSD specifications. 3. Chain Link Fence Fabric: Contractor shall provide submittal for approval. 4. Fence Posts: Contractor shall provide submittal for approval. 5. All hardware/fasteners must be galvanized and/or stainless steel. Contractor may suggest alternate products for MSBSD selection if it won’t affect overall performance/longevity of the fencing. C. Clean Up: 1. The Contractor will be responsible for all cleanup of the damaged fencing areas to a “as before” status. 2. All demoed materials including all concrete posts will be removed from sites and disposed of at Contractor expense. 3. The Contractor will be responsible for reinstalling any items that were removed from existing fencing for the purposes of construction unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon with MSBSD. 4. The contactor will remove and dispose of all trash and excess unusable materials. 5. The Contractor will remove all tools, equipment, trash (produced by Contractor), and any other items that were put there by the Contractor. D. Materials and Equipment: 1. The Contractor shall supply all necessary materials, fasteners, hardware, concrete, and any other items necessary to complete the project. 2. The Contractor shall use his/her own equipment and shall provide all necessary tools and materials to complete the job as described.
