Specifications include, but are not limited to: : Labor, services, and documentation necessary to furnish, install, test, start-up and commission a diesel-powered engine-generator, automatic transfer switch, and associated circuits, raceways, and other materials. 1. Contractor to develop the construction schedule, work sequencing, temporary outages/shutdowns (and durations), and potential bypass circuiting with input from the Engineer. The Contractor is responsible for materials, labor, and equipment to facilitate temporary process shutdowns, and bypassing; however, Owner will need to provide guidance and perform certain critical functions prior to and following these types of events. Engineer to provide approval to work plan and required resources prior to execution by Contractor. 2. Continuous operation of Owner’s facilities is of critical importance. Schedule and conduct activities to enable existing facilities to operate continuously, unless specified otherwise. 3. Process and facility shutdowns will need to be performed when the pump station experiences low water flow conditions, which generally occurs between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
