Specifications include, but are not limited to: The essence of the Planning Study of the Former Public Works Property project is to provide feasibility options for the future public use of the land. The property is located within the Village Designation Center of the Town and has prime waterfront shoreline. Currently, the property has 2 existing structures, a salt-sand shed and a garage used for storage. There are also 2 foundations for buildings previously torn down. In 2020, the Town of St. Albans completed the construction of a new Public Works Facility in the central part of the community. When the department moved, they vacated a 2.2-acre site along the shores of Lake Champlain within our Village Center. The Town would like to hire a consultant to create a master plan for the site as well as a pedestrian connection from the New Town Hall to the Bay Park along Georgia Shore Road. We would like to turn the property into a public facility that the whole community and surrounding region can enjoy.
