Specifications include, but are not limited to: he mission of the Department of Human Services (DHS) is to encourage self-sufficiency and support the well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Hawaii through an integrated and multigenerational approach. In pursuit of this mission, DHS is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to seek information and recommendationsfrom the public, private sector, and community-based organizations, as well asreligious organizations on establishing a pilot visiting and family resource center at correctional facilities. The primary purpose of those visiting centers is to remove barriers and facilitate family visitation to strengthen and reunify families with an emphasis on the well-being of the child.
