Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.5.1 WATER Work under this contract will primarily involve the analysis of various facilities relating to the City’s water system. Some of the work involves annual checking and monitoring of the cathodic protection systems for above ground water reservoirs and water distribution pipelines. Other assignments could include assessment of the cathodic protection systems, repair and replacement of the different equipment and materials associated with the systems, developing life cycle and replacement costs, how to properly manage these systems, and appropriate training for City maintenance personnel. The COR shall also be required to provide an annual report of the systems, the functional state, recommendations for maintenance and replacement, and associated costs. The following are the system components that utilize cathodic protection: A. College Reservoir College Reservoir is located in the southeast corner of Salem. This steel reservoir is approximately 35 feet in diameter, and approximately 40 feet high. Access to the reservoir roof is via a caged ladder.
