Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project's purpose is to fit the subgrade materials in the approach on Jasper and Seldon Road. This project will involve, but is not limited to, excavation, import and placement of borrow material, import and placement of aggregate base and surface courses and import and placing hot mix asphalt. Construction on Jasper Drive shall be completed in accordance with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (SSHC) 2017 Edition. For Standard Specification 101 through 120, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 2017 Edition and The Standard Modifications for N Jasper Drive govern. Project specific special provisions are provided in the following sections. The requirements contained in these specifications and special provisions are hereby made a part of this solicitation and resultant contract. • This project is located in Wasilla along E. Seldon Road. The project may be accessed by heading east 0.56 miles on E Seldon Road from N. Lucille Street. See project location and vicinity maps (attached). • Contractor is to provide resources to complete this project without any adjustments in the original bid amount or contract time. • Request locates from the utilities having facilities in the area. Use the Alaska Digline, Inc. Locate Call Center. See Section 105-1.06 for digline number and a list of utility companies in the area. • Work Zone speed limit: Limit speed of vehicles associated with construction to 20 miles per hour within project limits. • Time is of the essence. Work shall be completed in one continuous timeframe after utility relocations are completed. Final completion shall be achieved by June 30th, 2023. • Normal work time will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Extensions will be considered and approved by the MSB inspector.
