Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. The City or IN-TF1 representatives reserve the right to inspect the vendor’s premises and determine the capabilities for servicing departmental needs prior to bid award. 1.2. The City shall take full advantage of any manufacturer discounts or special offerings extended to the vendor for pricing of goods mentioned herein during the term of the resulting agreement. 1.3. Vendor will sew any patch provided by IN-TF1 on any garment item requested, as listed on the Purchase Order. Department provided cloth emblems (patches) shall be sewn on each sleeve of all shirts and jackets, and this service shall be included in the price of the garment. Patches shall be sewn per the specification for the garment. 1.4. A size label showing fiber content and care instructions must be permanently affixed reflecting the following: Color of garment shall be Darkest Navy available unless otherwise specified. Garment sizes shall be: Men and Women (S through 3 XL) unless otherwise specified. 1.5. The items listed below specifically identify manufacturer and manufacturer’s part numbers for uniformity of all uniformed personnel. The use of brand names, models, etc. serves to establish the design, performance and level of quality needed and not to restrict competition. Items that are equal in design, performance and quality will be considered if the term “City Approved Equal” is used in the description. The right to evaluate specification compliance and equality is reserved to the City, and the vendor shall have the burden of proof to demonstrate that any proposed substitutes are equal. Vendor shall note the manufacturer / model # of any substitutes, or the reference brand(s) and models listed will be assumed. Please reference terms Section 25, Samples, for supplying samples. Samples shall be required on all items submitted by the vendor as an “Equal” to the specifications herein for City approval. 1.6. Due to the fitting needs of IN-TF1, the vendor shall be able to perform in one of two ways. 1.7. If the contractor is located outside the Indianapolis Metropolitan area, arrangements must be made to maintain an adequate inventory of all dress uniform items for purchase by the Department and individual employees at a business location within Marion County, Indiana. 1.8. They shall be (on call) able to respond to IN-TF1 requests for fitting of personnel at no additional charge to the City within five (5) working days of a request. 1.9. Orders may be taken at the time of fitting regardless of the method chosen. 1.10. The vendor shall have available at fitting a size line for the listed boot to provide accurate fitting of each member. 1.11. The vendor shall have available at fitting a qualified vendor employee to properly fit a IN-TF1 team member with the correct size boot. 1.12. IN-TF1 team members shall try on a pair of boots specifically sized for that individual prior to leaving a fitting session for feel, size and proper fit.
