Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Oregon, on behalf of Knight Campus (University), is issuing this RFP for the procurement of a Spectral Flow Cytometer; The University of Oregon’s Knight Campus is expanding our capabilities for world-class bioengineering research. To meet the needs of our labs, we are seeking bids for a state-of-the-art spectral flow cytometer with both analysis and sorting capabilities. The University requires an instrument that enables us to both characterize and sort unique mammalian cell populations that are difficult to identify with conventional compensation, as well as to perform rapid multi-way sorting of bacterial cells with high accuracy. It is imperative that all surfaces and fluidics components of the instrument can be adequately sterilized as quickly and easily as possible to accommodate many users with cells from a wide range of organisms. Must sort into 96-well plates, 6x 1.5 tubes, and 4x 5ml tubes for collection . Must be able to detect a minimum of 40 colors . Must have a minimum of 64 APD fluorescence detectors . Must include 70 and 100 um nozzles . Must include at least 5 flat-top excitation lasers with wavelengths of 355nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm. Lasers must be spatially separated. . Must be able to detect 100nm particles . Must use live, full spectrum unmixing during acquisition . Must use vacuum fluidics . Must have volumetric measurement for calculation of counts per microliter . Must have primary aerosol evacuation with integrated HEPA filters . Must be able to sort and analyze bacterial and mammalian cells.
