Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFQ is to select a vendor to provide North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) Youth Horseback Riding Lessons as part of regular programming in fall, winter and spring seasons, as well as an annual summer camp session. NCPRD registers participants and processes payments, a portion of which is then paid to the vendor. Description: Provide horseback riding lessons and camps for youth ages 8-18. Dates of Program Activity: Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring (4 sessions per year) for 5 years, through Spring 2029. Additional Requirements: Vendor must provide instructor, stables, indoor arena (within Clackamas County), lessons, horses and riding equipment. Vendor must provide invoice for services upon completion of each session. Horseback Riding Lessons Each session of lessons is defined as 4 classes lasting 90 minutes each. English Riding – Beginner 1 Description: Ideal class for beginners. Learn basic horsemanship skills in riding, horse care and equipment usage. Indoor riding arena used in poor weather conditions. Boots or hard-soled shoes must be worn and riding helmets are provided. English Riding – Beginner 2 Description: Ideal class for riders who have taken the beginner riding lesson and who can walk and trot without help. Indoor riding arena used in poor weather conditions. Boots or hard-soled shoes must be worn and riding helmets are provided. Horseback Riding Summer Camp Each camp session is defined as 5 classes lasting 180 minutes each. Description: Learn the ropes of English style riding. Camps provide professional instruction on riding and horse care, with focus on safety. Participants will develop riding skills based on the US Pong Club D Standards. Campers are required to wear boots or hard-soled shoes. Riding helmets are provided for all participants. Upcoming Summer Camp Sessions: First Session 6/26/23 – 6/30/23 Second Session 7/03/23 – 7/07/23 Third Session 7/10/23 – 7/14/23 Fourth Session 7/17/23 – 7/21/23 Fifth Session 7/24/23 – 7/28/23 Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions and Ongoing Courses: All future programming dates will be mutually agreed upon by vendor and NCPRD. Cancellation of Sessions: Registration minimum of 2 participant with a maximum of 4 participants per Riding Lesson session and class size registration minimum of 3-4 participants with a maximum of 8 participants per Camp session. Sessions will be cancelled if minimum participants are not met for Riding Lesson session or camp session unless mutually agreed upon in writing one week in advance between the Contractor and NCPRD. There is no guarantee of registered participants for any sessions and class roster to be provided by NCPRD one week in advance to start of session.
